Install Subsequent Planks
At 0:09 in
First ceiling install went smooth but we've got a pretty wild application for it coming up next!! 🫣
What happens here
Continue installing the tongue and groove planks row by row. Each subsequent plank's 'tongue' end slides firmly into the 'groove' of the previously installed plank. Use a tapping block or a scrap piece of wood and a hammer to gently tap the plank along its length until the joint is tight and there are no visible gaps. Once fitted snugly, secure each plank with a nail gun, typically blind nailing through the tongue into the ceiling joists. Work your way across the ceiling, ensuring each plank is tight and flush before fastening. For longer planks, it's beneficial to have a helper to support the board while you tap and nail.
Goal: Cover the entire ceiling area with securely fitted tongue and groove planks
