DIY Tiny Sauna

What happens here

Tongue and groove wood planks, typically cedar for saunas, are cut to size using a miter saw or similar saw. These planks are then meticulously installed on the interior walls and ceiling of the sauna, typically attached to the studs using a finish nailer or screws. The tongue and groove design allows for a tight, seamless fit, creating the characteristic wood-paneled interior of a sauna. Care is taken to ensure joints are tight and the finish is smooth.

Goal: Finish the interior surfaces with wood paneling
