Demolition Day

[Music] all right good morning boys and girls it is a beautiful day up north in the land of ten thousand lakes you wanna tell them what we're doing today we're back to our regular scheduled what we were gonna do yesterday yeah what we're gonna do is we're gonna we gotta peel this awning completely off but i'm worried about how it's actually connected to the house i don't wanna just grab it and pull it off because of this back wall behind it is rotted which you can see it actually is the osb is pretty oh yeah pretty punky when this goes then i could take the front of the house shift shift the level front of the house at a level so this should come down here so that we can then see what we got going on underneath and then cut the per the penetrations where it goes into the house and then we can take this right off i'm gonna start peeling apart these boulder walls and then we're gonna take all the stone work off everything off from the front take the windows out so that we can rebuild it yeah before we can do anything we gotta get diesel fuel [Music] so [Music] cafe's got some business this morning that's been closed forever all right uh we're gonna get this little guy the littlest loader that could they tied that tarp on there with an extension cord digging all over this machine looking for the keys thought i was losing my mind come on baby all right we got her popped up see a little smokey gotta run the run through these roll plugs twice but that don't matter she fired she so [Music] all right let's see what we've got how are we connecting on here oh yeah that's a bit of a surprise yeah but they don't look like they're big ones right that was more weird so should i just try lifting up on it you think possibly yeah we'll just try lifting it replacing all the plywood anyway so if it you know it takes on a big chunk it's just that osb anyways yeah no i don't want it to pull though that's the thing that's the thing if it pulls holy buckets yeah this is just pure rot this needs to go right where the awning stops it gets worse i think we're gonna put a second awning up here or something to protect this we're gonna put something up here because this is just rotting i think a lot of that i think it's some of it's from the rain but some of it is also from kind of the combo of the flooding because the water was up to there all right it happened twice and i don't know i don't know how many years it was it's supposed to happen once in 50 it's happened twice in like 10. [Music] so [Music] there we go all right all right we're cooking with gas go it's a little big zach that's a little that's a little big let's not yeah let's not get them too crazy before we fire them up holy that's half as high as that tree almost yeah we'll just keep her a little lower all right all right let's throw a quick grade on this road we're using it more than anybody so let's straighten it out it won't take more than five minutes uh [Music] wow [Music] hello [Music] let's go pick up the beam so [Music] i think we're done here right okay well frankie guys frankie's sick so i don't think frankie's coming back man he was sounding pretty rough yeah he sounded rough right out of the gate this morning so we got the awning off we got the windows out we got the walls tore apart the concrete we got the concrete block brought back in and we got it stacked inside of the lower work area so that once frankie's feeling better we're not moving any materials every we're getting everything kind of positioned in a way so that we can just shake and bake so we've made some good headway since this morning down here next up i'm gonna peel these back we're gonna block that up there and rebuild this lower half and then i can rebuild the walls but i gotta move these back because i want those to breathe a little bit more so i have not figured out what we're gonna use for retaining walls down here i mean i got a bunch of boulders already here and they're free but they're not the perfect solution they look like the good solution but the size of them and everything else is just sometimes it's not that's a problem for another day yeah that's a problem for another day i got a little figuring to do all that matters it's all that matters all right you guys so this is why our video for today we will hopefully catch you keep your fingers on this time alex smashed up his fingers pretty bad he's been getting banged up a little bit oh you should tell him what else you did to yourself you're gonna get the nest plunge off out of the the back of our out of the front of his trailer took a pretty good fall off you could tell him how you did it i just walked out and there was ice on the bottom and i stepped on the ice and went whoa [Laughter] you gotta laugh at other people's pain as long as they're laughing with you what do you guys think looks a little different doesn't it nice job yeah coming along are you going to close it off are you going to redo it or we're going to rebuild it but frankie's not feeling good so we're just going to we're going to tighten it up for now he was supposed to come back and we haven't seen him so i figured he's yeah whoever built the original cabin built the walls there and i just covered them up with the the boulders before it's a lot better with the boulders yeah it does all right well that's our video for today you guys uh thanks for coming along for the ride with us we got more work to do so you guys make sure you hit the subscribe button and we'll catch you guys on another one and thank you for commenting really appreciate that guys and thank you for hitting that like button it goes a long way we'll catch you on another one you guys god bless you guys go get them
