Cutting a prefect circle with a router!

What happens here

Position the router assembly, with the wooden jig and pivot screw, onto the material you wish to cut. Align the pivot screw precisely with the center of the pre-drawn circle on your workpiece. Set the desired cutting depth on your plunge router. Before starting, put on safety glasses. Turn on the router and slowly plunge the cutting bit into the material. With a steady hand, guide the router in a circular motion around the pivot screw, making the first pass. To cut through thicker material, repeat the plunge and rotation process, increasing the depth slightly with each pass until the circle is fully cut.

Goal: Cut a perfect circle into the material

Tools and materials

  • DeWalt Plunge Router DeWalt — Cutting the circular shape into the material

also in the center of the circle. Make sure you don't suck that down cuz we want to be able to rotate on here. Set the depth of your plunge router. Bring that down to zero, tighten. There you go. Energize, safety glasses. There you have it. There's how to cut an absolutely perfect circle with the router using only a little jig I made at
