What happens here

This project demonstrates the effective use of a pattern router bit with a plunge router to precisely copy a shape from a template onto a new piece of wood. The process involves understanding the bit's function, setting up the template, and performing multiple routing passes to achieve a clean cut.

This router bit lets you copy any shape perfectly. So, this is a pattern bit. And what this bit is is it's basically a straight bit with a bearing on top. And this bearing rides along your pattern, whether it's a square, a circle, a triangle, some fancy decorative shape, whatever the case is. Now, the only thing with this is it's going to take off this much all the way around. So, you want to make sure that whatever your template is is smaller than what you want. Anyways, let's get this chucked up and see how it goes. All right. Now, you could either drill a hole here to start or you can plunge. We're just going to plunge so you guys can see how the plunge router works. Safety first, and let's get after it. All right. Now that we did our first pass, we're going to plunge a little bit deeper. Go ahead and plunge a third time and finish this up. And there you have it. You have a perfect square out of wood. Anyways, it's getting late. I got stuff to do. I'll catch you guys later. Peace.
