Concrete Truck Failure! This Nearly cost them the Job!

What happens here

After the concrete has set sufficiently, cut control joints into the surface using a concrete saw (such as a Hilti DSH 700-X). These joints are strategically placed to control where the concrete will naturally crack due to shrinkage and thermal expansion, preventing random, unsightly cracks. For the stamped concrete sections, lines for the control joints are first marked with blue chalk. Then, the saw is used to cut along these marked lines. Ensure rebar around the drainage grate is cut flush with the concrete surface. Use a plate compactor to compact the gravel in any untreated areas.

Goal: Prevent random cracking and prepare remaining areas for future pours.

Tools and materials
