Safe Ladder Setup and Access

What happens here

As seen in the video, accessing high areas requires careful ladder placement. Position extension ladders on stable, level ground, ensuring they extend at least 3 feet above the edge of the roof or highest point of access. Maintain a 4:1 ratio (for every 4 feet of height, the base should be 1 foot away from the wall). Use ladder stabilizers or stand-offs to prevent damage to gutters and to provide more stability. For accessing gable ends or roof sections, position ladders securely, tying them off if possible to anchor points. Multiple ladders may be required to cover different sections of the house or to provide support for a working platform if needed.
