Cleaning A Graco Contractor II Gun. Repair an Airless Spray Gun.

What happens here

Begin reassembly by first lubricating and carefully placing the smallest O-ring onto the needle in its designated flat spot. Then, lubricate the larger O-ring and slide it onto the handle piece, ensuring it sits correctly. O-ring lube helps these parts slide into place easier and maintains their seal. Make sure no dried paint remains on the O-rings or their seating areas.

Goal: Properly place and lubricate the O-rings back onto the needle and handle.

Tools and materials

  • Handle Piece Graco — The handle component of the spray gun

And you can see it just sets right in there. Going to stick that O-ring back on. Make sure there's no dried paint on it. You can see a little bit of dried paint left on this one. I'll just clean it off with my fingernail here. These are pretty standard O-rings right here on this contractor 2 gun.
