Butchering chickens..THIS AIN'T OUR FIRST TIME...watch and learn!
What happens here
After gutting, place the cleaned chicken into a shrink-tight bag, head-first. Push the chicken's neck and head into one corner of the bag, then squeeze out as much air as possible. Dip the bagged chicken into warm water for a few seconds. The warm water will cause the shrink-tight bag to conform tightly around the bird. Once shrunk, secure the bag with a zip tie to create a vacuum-sealed package. The presenter highlights that this type of freezer bag is superior for long-term storage, especially if avoiding self-defrosting freezers which can cause freezer burn due to temperature fluctuations.
Goal: Prepare chicken for freezing by vacuum-sealing
