Install Decking Boards

What happens here

Once the main framing is complete, begin installing the decking boards. Place cedar boards perpendicular to the joists, ensuring consistent spacing between each board for drainage and expansion. Use a level to ensure the boards are evenly laid and an impact driver to securely fasten them to the joists with appropriate decking screws. Continue this process, gradually covering the entire surface of the upper deck. The boards are typically cut to fit the length of the deck, with some requiring notches or shorter lengths to accommodate posts or irregular shapes.

Goal: Cover the upper deck frame with cedar decking boards.
