Budget Turbo Yukon XL "Uncle Rob" Gets TiAL Wastegate & BOV Installed! (Single Turbo Kit Fab Tips)

What happens here

Unbox the blow-off valve and attempt to fit its mounting flange onto the turbo piping. Observe that the radius of the flange does not perfectly match the curvature of the pipe, creating a noticeable gap. This fitment issue indicates that the flange will require modification to ensure a tight, weldable joint.

Goal: Confirm the need for flange modification due to improper fitment.

Tools and materials

  • Blow-off Valve — The main component being assessed for fitment
  • Turbo Piping — The pipe where the BOV will be mounted

the blow off valve on here's what we're working with about right here sort of i want it to be visible because it looks cool but i don't want it to be in the way of the hood or look stupid where it goes i'm kind of thinking right here would flow nicely then the line that comes off of it can point down and it's just less clutter above the engine except this thing is kind of annoying oh boom clearance fine right there as you can see the radius of that doesn't really fit here so i'm gonna have to carve this down a bit to make it fit now i don't have to film
