Prepare and Install New Fitting

What happens here

The operator and assistant prepare the new quick connect fitting for installation. While the hydraulic professional advised against it, they choose to apply PTFE (Teflon) thread seal tape to the threaded portion of the new fitting, as well as the other existing fittings on the skid steer, as an extra precaution despite the new fitting being O-ring sealed. They then use large pipe wrenches to securely tighten the new fitting onto the hydraulic line, ensuring it is very snug to prevent leaks.

Goal: Apply PTFE tape to the new O-ring sealed fitting (and existing fittings) as a precautionary measure, then securely tighten the new fitting onto the hydraulic line using large pipe wrenches.
