Breaking in a New Snowplow
What happens here
Since tightening the fitting didn't resolve the leak, the operator decides to disassemble the quick connect fitting to inspect its internal components. Upon separating the two halves of the fitting, they discover significant debris, including ice, dirt, and metal shavings, which are preventing a proper seal. This internal contamination is identified as the root cause of the hydraulic leak. A small metal pick/screwdriver is used to remove some of the debris.
Goal: Disassemble the leaking quick connect fitting to find internal contamination (ice, dirt, metal shavings) that is preventing a proper seal.
