Better Method For Replacing Pex Water Shutoff Valve Under Your Sink!
What happens here
Prepare the new angle stops for installation. These are 1/2-inch iron pipe by 3/8-inch PEX fittings. Take a male adapter (PEX to threaded pipe) and wrap its threads with several layers of Teflon tape in a clockwise direction. Then, apply pipe thread sealant (e.g., Megaloc) over the Teflon tape for an extra secure, leak-proof seal. Thread the male adapter into the new angle stop, and use an adjustable wrench and channel lock pliers to tighten it firmly. Repeat for both new angle stops.
Goal: Assemble new angle stops with male adapters and prepare them for installation.
