Scuff Sand Clearcoat

What happens here

After the clear coat has dried, perform a light scuff sanding to create a smooth base for the next layer. Use an Ekasilk sander or a similar fine-grit sander. This step helps with adhesion of the glaze and removes any minor imperfections or dust nibs from the clear coat. Connect the sander to a vacuum to control dust. Ensure the surface is uniformly dulled, but do not sand through the clear coat into the stain.
