Prepare New Disposal & Connect Electrical

What happens here

If connecting a dishwasher, use a hammer and a screwdriver or punch to remove the knockout plug from the dishwasher inlet port on the new disposal. This creates the opening for the dishwasher drain hose. Then, open the electrical compartment, feed the electrical cable into the unit, and connect the wires using wire nuts: black to black, white to white, and ground to the green grounding screw. Secure the electrical cover.

Goal: Prepare the new disposal unit by removing the knockout plug if connecting a dishwasher, and connect the electrical wiring.
