5 FANTASTIC HACKS for Painters! Hand Masker Tips!

What happens here

Before painting, especially when spray painting ceilings, remove the light bulb from the recessed fixture. Take a piece of 9-inch masking paper from a hand masker, wad it up into a ball, and stuff it firmly into the light socket opening. This prevents any overspray from entering the socket, which could interfere with the light bulb's function or damage the wiring when reinstalled.

Goal: This step demonstrates how to protect recessed light sockets from paint overspray by using wadded-up masking paper.
