2 Ways To Add Dual Shut Off Valve Under Kitchen Sink!

What happens here

This method is simpler and often preferred. Take a new dual shut-off angle valve designed to provide two independent shut-off points from a single input. Slide the valve's compression nut and a new brass ferrule onto the prepared copper stub-out. Apply a small amount of thread sealant, such as MegaLoc, around the brass ferrule before pushing the valve body onto the stub-out and hand-tightening the compression nut. Then, use an adjustable wrench to tighten the nut further, typically a half to three-quarters of a turn past hand-tight. This creates a secure, watertight seal without the need for soldering. Ensure you have the appropriate size valve (e.g., 5/8 by 3/8 by 3/8 or 1/2 by 3/8 by 1/4) for your specific application.

Goal: The preferred method involves installing a pre-fabricated dual shut-off angle valve directly onto the existing copper stub-out, offering two independent shut-offs in a compact unit.
