For each pipe, use a tape measure to determine the distance between the two marks you made. Add 1/8th of an inch to this measurement. This final calculated length is the amount that needs to be cut off the end of the pipe. Mark this cut line clearly around the circumference of the pipe. Using a reciprocating saw for the smaller pipe and an angle grinder for the larger one, carefully cut each pipe at the marked line. Repeat the entire process for the second pipe.
