Take the new water line and connect it to the side of the T-fitting using the compression adapter. Hand-tighten the connection first. Then, use pliers or a vise-grip to secure one part of the fitting while using another pair of pliers to tighten the compression nut. Ensure the connection is very tight to prevent leaks.
