Carefully lower the new Flotec Easy Sump assembly into the cleaned sump pit. Position it so that the vertical float switch has enough clearance from the sides of the pit to move up and down freely without obstruction. Take the sump pit cover and feed the pump's power cord and the piggy-back switch cord through the designated cord hole. Align the new pump's check valve with the existing discharge pipe and slide the rubber coupling over the end of the pipe. Using a flathead screwdriver, tighten the upper hose clamp to create a secure, watertight seal between the new pump and the existing plumbing.
