To allow for thorough cleaning of the trolley, it must be removed. First, release the trolley from the track by pulling its cotter pin and removing the associated pin to detach it from the door connection. Next, detach the entire rail from the wall by removing the retaining nut that secures the rail to the wall bracket. Once the nut is off, slide the trolley forward off the end of the rail. You may need to move the entire rail into an upper position to gain enough clearance.

Can I get DIY guidance for garage door opener repair?

Due to the significant safety hazards, including potential for severe injury or death from falling doors or tensioned components, it is strongly recommended to consult a licensed professional for all repairs.
