Install Remaining Stair Treads — Step 6: Repeat, Test, and Enjoy Your Quiet Stairs
Part of project
fix popping noises from carpet stair treads installed with adhesive on wood stairs · Step 6 of 6
In this video
Continue the installation process by placing the remaining carpet stair treads on each subsequent step of the staircase. For each tread, repeat the steps of careful positioning and firm pressing to ensure secure adhesion and consistent alignment. Maintain uniform spacing between the back of each tread and the stair riser, as well as consistent side margins, to create a neat and professional appearance. Since the treads are designed to be removable, minor adjustments can be made during installation if needed.
