Hi everyone, it's Amy with Oak Valley Designs. I'm going to talk to you about cleaning your stairs in preparation for your new carpet stair treads. So, you can grab a microfiber cloth or any cloth really works. You can do a handheld vacuum or you can use both. And what I like to do is simply take the cloth, make sure you're wiping the entire stair tread, get all of the dust, all of the loose dirt off of here. And the idea is to keep it nice and dry so that the adhesive on the back of your stair tread will really stick nicely. Try to avoid using anything that'll make it greasy, like pledge or pine saw.
