Attach Shelves and Secure with Tube Straps — Attach Shelves to Pipe Frame
Part of project
Pipe Shelf Construction · Step 4 of 5
In this video
With all the pipe brackets now level, the wooden shelves can be placed on top. To ensure maximum stability and prevent the shelves from sliding back and forth, the presenter recommends using galvanized tube straps. These straps wrap around the pipe and are screwed into the underside of the wooden shelf, holding it firmly in place. This step is crucial for long-term durability and safety, especially in a high-traffic area like a laundry room. If tube straps aren't used, creating a channel or recess in the underside of the shelf could also help prevent sliding.
