Go back under the sink and turn the hot and cold water supply valves back on. Return to the sink and slowly open the faucet handle to test the water flow for both hot and cold. Check for any leaks around the base of the faucet and connections under the sink. Confirm that the hot and cold water mix properly and that the faucet turns completely off without dripping.
