Part of project
Faucet Repair · Step 4 of 10
In this video
With the handle removed, you will see a retaining nut that holds the cartridge in place. To avoid scratching the faucet's finish, wrap a cloth or paper towel around the retaining nut. Use channel locks or an adjustable wrench to carefully unscrew and remove this retaining nut. Once the nut is off, gently pull the old cartridge straight up and out of the faucet body. Inspect the cartridge for any visible damage.
