Step 2 · Lubricate Hinge Pin
Open the door wide enough to access the hinge. If possible, slightly lift the hinge pin by tapping upwards on the bottom of the pin with a hammer and a nail set or screwdriver. Apply a few drops of lubricant, such as WD-40, silicone spray, or a graphite-based lubricant, directly onto the hinge pin and into the seams where the hinge leaves meet. Work the lubricant in by opening and closing the door several times.
