Step 5 · Install New Trim & Showerhead; Test for Leaks

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

Install the new handles, escutcheons, and showerhead according to the manufacturer's instructions. Carefully tighten all connections. Slowly turn the water supply back on and thoroughly check all connections for leaks. Adjust the temperature stop as needed.
