Step 2 · Remove the Old Shower Hardware

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

Carefully remove the old showerhead and handles. Use an adjustable wrench if needed, protecting the finish with a cloth or rag to avoid scratches. Turn the showerhead and handles counterclockwise to loosen and remove them.
