Step 3 · Install New Shower Hardware

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

Apply plumber's tape (Teflon tape) to the threads of the shower arm and new components in a clockwise direction. Screw on the new showerhead and handles by hand, then use an adjustable wrench to further tighten them gently. Avoid over-tightening to prevent damage.
