Step 3 · Install the New Shower Diverter Valve

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

Apply Teflon tape to the threads of the new diverter valve for a watertight seal. Screw the new valve into place, ensuring a secure fit but avoiding overtightening. Use a wrench or pliers if needed for extra grip.
