Step 2 · Remove the Old Bathtub Faucet Handles
This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.
Carefully remove the handles from your old faucet. This often involves removing small screws or caps hidden beneath the handles. Once these are removed, the handles should pull off relatively easily. Use the appropriate screwdriver (Phillips or flathead) to remove any securing screws.
