Step 3 · Prepare Wood Shelves

Cut the wooden planks to the desired dimensions for your shelves. Once cut, sand all surfaces and edges of the wood smooth, starting with a coarser grit sandpaper and progressing to a finer grit for a polished finish. Apply your chosen wood stain or sealant according to the product's instructions, allowing adequate drying time between coats.
