Step 8 · Clean Up Like a Pro

Don't 'paint lazy' when it comes to cleanup. As soon as you're done, it's time to clean those tools. For latex paint, soap and water is all you need. Wash your brushes and rollers until the water runs clear—that's how you know they're truly clean. Clean out your paint tray, wipe up any spills, and dispose of everything properly. Good tools are an investment, so take care of them.
