Step 5 · Rolling Out the Walls
Get your roller loaded with paint. Start on the wall with a 'W' or 'M' pattern to distribute the paint across a 3-to-4-foot section. Then, fill it in with parallel strokes, overlapping your last pass and the edges you just cut in. The key here is to always maintain a 'wet edge,' rolling from a wet area into a dry area. Don't press too hard; let the roller do the work. That's how you get a beautiful, uniform finish.
