Step 1 · Prepare the Work Area

Begin by preparing your work area. Lay an old towel in the bottom of the tub to protect the finish from scratches. Put on a pair of waterproof utility gloves. Ensure the area is well-lit. If the tub is full of water due to the stuck stopper, you will need to bail out as much water as possible using a cup and bucket before you begin.
