Step 4 · Prime the Concrete (if recommended)

Some epoxy floor coating systems recommend or require a specific primer for optimal performance and adhesion. Read your epoxy kit's instructions carefully. If a primer is required, mix it according to the manufacturer's instructions and apply a thin, even coat to the entire concrete surface using a roller or squeegee. Allow the primer to dry to the stage specified by the manufacturer (often tacky, not fully cured).
