Step 6 · Apply the Second Coat of Sealant

Once the first coat is sufficiently dry, apply the second coat. It is generally recommended to apply the second coat perpendicular to the direction of the first coat. This helps to ensure a more uniform finish and better coverage, filling in any areas that may have been missed or were too thin in the first application. Use the same method (squeegee or brush) as the first coat, again maintaining a wet edge and working in thin, even layers. A second coat significantly enhances the protective qualities and appearance of the driveway.
