Step 2 · Remove the Faucet Handles

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

Carefully remove the handles from the faucet. For compression valves, you may need to loosen a setscrew beneath a decorative cap first, using a small screwdriver. Other valve types may require consulting the manufacturer's instructions. Keep track of all screws and small parts for easy reassembly.
