you think about what goes wrong on a lot of mowers what parts do you have to replace them on oh the people that run them little mower in a big mess that's hard question I know no no let it roll we'll see how that goes help God that thing's got the Heart of a Lion [Music] all right guys welcome to Today's Show I'm with Jared Nissen and you should listen how are you Jared great how are you stand all right we're going to be taking a look at the lightest most compact ride on mower in the industry you guys have developed it and it just came out is that right yes first year on the market so this is the grand stand HD M okay HDM what does HDM stand for heavy duty mini you got it right I was quizzing them I already knew that cuz I asked earlier so heavy duty mini so what that basically means to me Jared is you took the components uh that you have in your biggest Machinery here because I mean you worked on on bad dogs like this and this is not in today's video but you're going to see a lot of similarities from this to this one right that's exactly right so we had our regular grand stand platform which you know it's kind of that mid horsepower range and we took a lot of the goodness from those designs that that we've gotten feedback on like the hood flip up hood for as an example and we pulled that into the new design on the on the HDM and then also on the HDX okay so there's that's one of the similarities here but underneath the hood when we say this is the most compact smallest it's also the lightest yes by how much about 100 lb by 100 lb and then it's the smallest by how much uh about 7 in 7 in this way but how did you lighten this thing up because as I look Jared I'm looking at this this is reinforcement around the deck that's not light the deck itself this is a heavy duty gauge deck and I put this alongside my big dog right my my my big mower yep and it doesn't look like you skimped on the deck so we we took out unneeded things like if you look at look at the overall size of the frame being seven or 8 in shorter like that takes out metal just on that side alone yes we also took out other components that you really don't need um talking about taking stuff out we only have one belt you think about what goes wrong on a lot of mowers what parts do you have to replace a lot oh the people that run them okay even easier than that let's say okay okay no no no but it's like a it's like a mini tank and when you think about where this unit's used like I have one at my house I got a gate going into the backyard and I can't fit a 48 in unit into it I can't fit a 36 no you can't fit a 36 through a gate got to have a 32 so you know this this machine is very good for that and when you think about a light machine you know none of the smaller compact stand on have white tires right you simply can't so you want it to be a little lighter so it think about like it is right now it's spring we've had a lot of rain very soft so you want that lighter machine to help you not not dig ruts down in your yard you know the the way we've design this machine is another reason that we have an industry-leading warranty so we've got a 2year unlimited hours warranty or 4 years 750 hours does the guy have to pick between the two or is it just an automatic thing no just automatic I mean if you want to run it 1,800 hours let's say you're down in Florida you on 1 18800 hours in in two years or even 2,000 hours you're still covered under warranty so long as it's within that 24 months now if you're somebody like let's say you're up you know Northern climate maybe you don't have a bunch of residential yards that you're cutting y putting on 200 hours I mean you that'll get you through 4 years H okay so as we look at the backside of this though you've updated the the pad right yes updated the pad with the bullhorns yep just some cosmetic stuff yeah and other little things are you know I like to talk about little thoughtful things that make a difference I mean just getting access to the back side of your engine and everywhere here y like that's you know this props itself up I mean there's a lot of little things too that help with just making it easier to service and maintain yeah you can get right at everything right here you can check all your pumps here you can check your engine oil right down there you've got your Parker hubs down here right there the platform actually do that got an operator sense package in it so that you it knows that you're on it you know your your blades shut off when oh when you release on all operator presence is in the handles yeah that's right and then deck height adjustment it's pretty straightforward it's right here yep yep very easy drop pin design you know makes it heck of a lot easier to use use gravity makes sense the shoot is consistent with our other shoots I was going to ask you what did you base the deck design itself off from do you did you borrow any technology from any of your other mowers or is this unique to this one so we did we worked with xmark on this design okay so when you think about what we had two years ago we had 136 in standon in this kind of mini category that one had the the flip up operator platform and um so when we looked at okay how do we how do we get down into that 32in size that's when we went over worked with our our our you know counterparts over at xmark and utilized a lot of what they have on their platform in this design you know it's very very proven again we look at warranty to look at durability of machines get feedback on on the C serving of the machine in overall lifetime how it performs so a good foundation was already on this machine from now what does a unit like this run so this will be mid 9 the promo but when you look at uh Fleet pricing you know you're going to be down 9 maybe a shade under okay and just for you guys I bought this machine I bought that machine and I bought the other one so that I can shoot videos for you guys but I also as you guys know I always like to bring the product expert and the guys that know these things better than I do I like to quiz them I like to ask them questions I like you guys to get an answer not from a salesperson but from somebody that was on the team that helped come up with the designs that helped plan these things out helped create these things and make them better for you guys that one in an upcoming video Jared perfect and on my new Air Raider which I'm pumped about that thing me too I I I don't know why I'm so pumped about a core Air Raider but what it does is it also SE oh does over seating yeah yeah so you can get that attachment you can you can seat with it too so I got all that property in the back that needs to be seated plus up north I've got this whole path where every Tom Dick and Harry that comes to visit and it's every day up north you can't get away people just love to come visit you they always par park right on my grass so all my grass is just suffering and I need something that I can just keep loosening it up over seating it just getting that lawn to finally establish but this one is going to get put to the test real soon because this little baby stays right here with me and goes inside of there cuz I got nothing else that I can get inside my property so so she's going up there and going to go mow some critical areas that I can't reach with anything but a push mower and I'll tell tell you what I am sick of push mowing you're you're not the only one Stan I mean when you look at this this smaller platform Market I mean it's really taken off in the recent years just because of that I mean we we have a phenomenal Turf Master you know 30in walk behind unit we have some really strong 21in heavy duties but when you think about how fast you can go with them versus this that's that's why I got one of these in my house what was operator fatigue I you know I mean you work all day long and then you come and you you grab a mower and you're pushing it and you're dragging it back and you're lifting it up and you're turning and you're setting it down and I know I'm sounding like a diva but when it boils right down to it I've always wanted a baby basically a baby heavyduty commercialized mower that I could hop on and use that wasn't much bigger than a push mower and this is that absolutely this is heavy duty it's meant for commercial use go ahead you guys that have Residential Properties buy it cuz you're not going to M you're not going to regret it because a commercial level mower is just built to a higher standard it's built to a standard to be operated every single day and not just one day a week but every day of the week and that's when you look at the warranty too you know when people stand behind their warranty and they have a long warranty like that you know it's built well and um the other thing is we didn't have it on this machine but um you know you can get a a mulching kit on this so you know that makes it even a little more Compact and when you think about going around going around mult and stuff like that you know controlling your clippings that's really helpful Too Perfect all picking up some side hustles so you're able to see what's going on and then what is offsite unknown offsite unknown is going to be that time truly where they are um right after trailering and not at any job site as well too so that's typically going to be the end of day or start of day shop time where they're truly just kind of not necessarily on site at a property but they're still kind of doing on my own land and allowing me what what what to to mow your what tenth of an acre no there's plenty of space Zach does not mow my land Zach isn't out here on Saturday and Sunday he mowing with me and there's nothing I mowing twice as much as what your land is I hate push mes Zach I hate push mowes I know I'm not I mean you push mowers as well I you've seen a bunch my land I push mowed that for couple months until I got an actual ride there's like three people in the world that like push mes Frankie is one of them and I don't know who the other two are but I'm not one of the other two I'd rather stand on something and get the exact same thing in a 32in package I can get this in and out of all these trees couldn't do that before no um I could not get that front Boulevard I was always pushmo and that I just weed whack it yep and that's what Frankie started to do and I came in and I saved him a lot lot of time I zipped through that thing took us 2 minutes all right but that's going
