What Is Going On? Current Status on ALL The Builds! LSXcalade + LSA Monte Carlo "Ralph" + Uncle Rob!

What happens here

The engine has been removed from the Escalade and sent to Late Model Engines (LME) in Houston for a complete refresh. The bottom end will retain its CP Carrillo/Rosen pistons and Dart billet crank/block. The new modifications will include machining for half-inch head studs, o-rings (fire rings), and copper gaskets. It will also receive Brodix BR7 BS heads with an LME port job, featuring bigger springs and titanium valves for increased RPM and airflow. The goal is to determine the naturally aspirated horsepower output before adding boost. Various parts for reassembly, such as headers, are stored inside the vehicle.

Goal: Refresh and upgrade the engine for high-performance naturally aspirated and boosted applications.

Tools and materials

  • Brodix BR7 BS Heads Brodix — High-performance cylinder heads
  • Copper Gaskets — Improved head gasket sealing for high-boost applications
  • CP Carrillo/Rosen Pistons CP Carrillo — High-performance engine internals
  • Dart Billet Crank/Block Dart — High-performance engine block and crankshaft
  • Half-inch Head Studs — Increased clamping force for cylinder heads in high-boost applications
  • Headers — Exhaust components
  • O-rings — Enhanced cylinder head sealing for high-pressure combustion
  • Titanium Valves — Lightweight and strong valves for high RPMs

escalade if you haven't seen the engine is out it's gone where is it well it is in houston at late model engines getting a full refresh um getting ready to go back in this thing we wanted to have it together for race week but that's not gonna happen uh uncle rob's going on race week hope with the setup in here um it's gonna be the same bottom end same cp gorilla rosin pistons dart billet crank dart block but they're machining it for half inch head studs uh o-rings like fire rings copper gaskets and it's getting a brodex br7bs head with lme's port job on it so it's like a ls7 head big spring so it's got bigger springs titanium valves all the better stuff for all the rpm more airflow this thing is going to be able to reliably handle the power that i popped the head at last time it's it's gonna be something intense but lme told me that they were gonna start putting the bottom end together this week still waiting on a couple things on the top end like rockers and stuff but the cool part is they're gonna engine dyno it and we're gonna be there for that so we're gonna find out what this 427 will make naturally aspirated before it ever goes in here and sees boost so that'll be pretty freaking sweet right now there's just a bunch of stuff in it all the parts that put it back together are you know buried back here including the original headers that um adrian polished for me back in october or november after it blew up it really pains me to see it sitting like this but it's going to come back stronger than ever better than ever just all around it's gonna be good monte carlo this one
