all right guys keep getting questions on what's going on with the monte carlo with the escalade uncle rob the 632 all that stuff so today we're just gonna run through everything you do with a bit of a state of the onion uh video so check in on every project just a little bit maybe we'll take a look at some of the other customer cars things like that just get you up to speed on the general everything of what's going on here we'll start with the most current one uncle rob a lot of you guys are probably following that series if you're not you should check them out uh right now i'm not a bit of a spoiler alert but a little sneak peek i'm putting in the deets works fuel system dropped the tank all that stuff going on that we just dyno'd it with the turbo 10 pounds uh upgraded injectors with the stock fuel pump to see how much power you can make on the stock pump reliably like is it worth doing can you get away without changing the fuel pump that video is pretty freaking cool uh i won't ruin the numbers for you though because we also dyno tested it with the stock injectors to see what they would max out at so we have physical numbers for every step of the way we're gonna do the fuel pump test it again that way but the first test for that will be same boost level just going e85 to see how much more power it will make on the same boost level as 93. so we're we're doing everything step by step providing numbers on the dyno for science for you guys that's the current state of the union on uncle rob uh today i got to go around and grab some brake lines because the rear ones are super rotted and sketchy looking and while the tank is out i want to change those escalade if you haven't seen the engine is out it's gone where is it well it is in houston at late model engines getting a full refresh um getting ready to go back in this thing we wanted to have it together for race week but that's not gonna happen uh uncle rob's going on race week hope with the setup in here um it's gonna be the same bottom end same cp gorilla rosin pistons dart billet crank dart block but they're machining it for half inch head studs uh o-rings like fire rings copper gaskets and it's getting a brodex br7bs head with lme's port job on it so it's like a ls7 head big spring so it's got bigger springs titanium valves all the better stuff for all the rpm more airflow this thing is going to be able to reliably handle the power that i popped the head at last time it's it's gonna be something intense but lme told me that they were gonna start putting the bottom end together this week still waiting on a couple things on the top end like rockers and stuff but the cool part is they're gonna engine dyno it and we're gonna be there for that so we're gonna find out what this 427 will make naturally aspirated before it ever goes in here and sees boost so that'll be pretty freaking sweet right now there's just a bunch of stuff in it all the parts that put it back together are you know buried back here including the original headers that um adrian polished for me back in october or november after it blew up it really pains me to see it sitting like this but it's going to come back stronger than ever better than ever just all around it's gonna be good monte carlo this one hurts a lot what we were doing here i don't know if you can hear but the guys over there that's a separate business they're making all kinds of noise it it's really hard to film when they're doing stuff because sometimes they play music really loud and i can't film over copyright so it's it hinders the building of things greatly because i want to film stuff while i'm building what does bulls have a seat in here oh oh monte carlo call it ralph has been down since january why well i put another six led in it and i do it to test drive it and i had a turbo 400 yoke on it not the six speed one which is longer the yoke is longer it has like a pilot bushing inside the tail shaft i guess in the shorter 400 yoke didn't fully engage in that or something if i had to guess and the tail shaft just exploded blew up everywhere that was big mess major disappointment however the reason it is still sitting is because the new transmission setup has been on back order supposed to be putting a t56 or tkx in this thing to you know do a six-speed conversion five or six speed conversion manual transmission that's what i want here they're all back ordered still uh i was told you know story of everyone's life these days everything's on back order but oh yeah it'll be three to four weeks well it's been several months nothing is happening and i'm thinking once uncle rob his fuel system swaps and out there ripping um i'll throw another 6l80 in here and get a drive shaft made from the same place that made the one from uncle rob so at least this car will will work and do stuff in the meantime until we can do the tramx swap in it what do you guys think you think i should get it running with the auto to get it back on the road or focus on the progression of uncle rob beyond the fuel system leave a comment let me know i really value your input on this stuff because after all we do it for you for your knowledge and entertainment and involvement obviously this is all stuff i want to do however the order in which it gets done can be dictated by you guys if you speak up that's what i want to hear if you've never seen this car before it's got a 6.2 liter lsa in it it's actually the original motor from the escalade i put it in here after i built the 427 for that this blower all the way down everything is untouched how it came out of the escalade this setup ran 1188 and 117 in the escalate on drag week in 2016. that's 5 600 pounds this is 37 ish 100 pounds 3 800 maybe with me in it because i put a still hood back on it oh it's gonna be really fast for what it is a really fun street car it's not gonna be a drag car i want to go more like pro touring on it and uh we're actually going to be doing boom tubes on this that's going to happen too dr gass the original inventor of the x-pipe and everything dr gas junior they call him he worked for oh boyd the original dr gas and then he bought the company from him well uh he texted me a couple weeks ago and said he went back to uh boyd's original shop and he found two super talladega boom tubes left over from the golden era of super speedway x-pipes and they are going on this car with the x-pipe that they made with their super with their perfect jig and the perfect angle and all that stuff this thing is going to sound like freaking sterling marlin's car at the 94 daytona 500 and i'm like i'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it but i don't want to build the exhaust until the right transmission is in there because it's crossmember and everything's going to change and it sucks it sucks to be waiting on that stuff driving me insane that's kind of why in the meantime i'm just thinking put an auto in it so the car moves i can enjoy it iron out the kinks and you know just run it that way for a while it needs it needs help also maybe some of you guys could help me out i did an led tail light conversion in this thing and everything wired up just fine and then when i went to test them the board on this one fried i don't know why it worked fine when i tested it by itself you can see that on there and i did the same thing when i got this car back in 2014 i put those led tail lights in and one of them freaking fried so i had to pay somebody to change the wire stuff back to the incandescent bulbs because back then i didn't know how to do anything i suspect there's something wrong with the body harness on this car if some short somewhere that these things don't like i don't know i actually filmed a video doing all that to the taillights but i was so butthurt about it i never posted it because it didn't work if you want to see that video i can go back and actually post it if you guys want me to so let me know moving down the list what about the 632 what are we doing with that you didn't know i had a 632 well i got a 632 blueprint 840 horsepower crate motor right in the box it is waiting for a project upcoming after this one i said it in the last state of the union video but if you're new here i'll tell you because i know that you only real g's watch these videos regular people don't because you know they don't they're not invested in in this in the the nonsense of myself and logan and the guys in the shop they don't care they just want to see people race things and crash stuff and blow things up and that's whatever that's all cool but i do it for you guys i care about you guys you know that because i answer almost every single freaking comment on my videos if you've ever commented on something and i didn't answer you at least once let me know in the comments because i'd be surprised there's anybody out there who has never gotten a response from me on anything anyway the 632 the secret with that is uh sitting back in pennsylvania i have a 1993 gmc suburban four-wheel drive one owner truck with 334 000 miles on it that is the mintiest 334 000 mile truck with the paint falling off that you have ever seen and that's where the 632 is going to go with a 4l80 uh from extreme automatics msd atomic transmission controller holley sniper 4500 dominator it's it's gonna be a big block four-wheel drive 1990s version of the escalade and it's gonna be the third amigo between uncle rob and the escalade the suburban's name is actually uncle george after named after my other uncle um but there's there's uncle george videos on my channel if you go way way back um you can see it i did a video with it uh when i was back in pennsylvania last summer my dad's first 95 suburban the one i was obsessed with the one before uncle rob he bought because he test drove my uncle george's 95 suburban it was a white gmc just like the one my dad got when coming up with names for all these i thought okay this one was my uncle rob who's gonna be named uncle rob even though it was originally my dad's you know i can't name it dad that's weird so the white one even though it wasn't owned by my uncle the genesis of all of my suburban-ness to escalate everything is due to my uncle george having a suburban so my dad never got one if it wasn't for him so we'll have uncle rob uncle george and ls escalade i kind of wish i had a person named for the escalade but i think it's too late to give it one now it's just the escalade that's how people know it kind of got to be that way but yeah that's what the 632 is for if you didn't know now you know you can keep it a secret so those surface level people who aren't real g's like you don't get to enjoy the fruits of your commitment to know the secrets of what's going on around here and i know you're probably wondering what is this shirt i'm wearing well have you never seen it before well that's because it's a new one and you'll be able to get them on the website right after this video is posted they'll be live by the time you see this this is the replacement for the original style shirt right here which we still have a few of if you want to grab one um that's the last time you ever get them because these are replacing them these shirts are inspired by dale earnhardt's 1988 pit crew uniforms and they're not black everybody's been asking me well you need to make sure it's not black that aren't black well there you go it's not black it's the same brand shirt though good quality next level brand you don't you know they don't stick to you like a wet towel whenever you're sweaty working and stuff and finally got hats the same hat i'm wearing now purposely done to match this shirt you can get it in a box set with a matching decal boom get the whole thing in a box that's the only way to be able to get a hat because there's only something like 75 hats that's all i could afford hats are expensive and i've never done hats before so i don't know if i'm gonna be able to sell them and i can't afford to just have all of my money sitting in a box of hats i need to buy parts for things and diesel to go places and go to races and do stuff so we're we're doing a low tester that's why you can only get it in a box set in the box set you will get a sticker too this shirt the hats are the richardson 112 snapback style so they fit really well they're not bulky but it is a one size fits all so all you have to do is select your shirt size and you will get one with everything else if you order something else too it will also fit in the box this is all that we have left of the original style uh what sizes are left in that like xl no there's no xl it's like 4x 3x actually there might be i think it's 2x 3x and 4x yeah 2x there's three 2x handful of 3x and 4x yeah so and we also have these shirts in four five and six x which i stepped up because i did a test run of those before and you guys bought them all really quickly so i'm like oh i'll get a nice handful of four five and six sex and uncle rob shirts too and we've sold like one and five x so i don't know kind of rethinking my decision to do that hopefully that doesn't paint out to screw me i only make stuff that i want to wear pretty much and dang it i want a t-shirt that looks like daler and hart's pit crew shirt so i'll just freaking make one how about that and we got hoodies too these are the last of the hoodies if you want a hoodie it's got the flag graphic on it and that's all we're doing for this so probably never get this again because by the time next fall rolls around will be a hoodie of a different style of some sort so stapleton autoworks.com go check it out you'll get a handwritten note from logan signed by myself every single order gets one that's how you can help support the cause because you're a real g i know you are and things like this are important because we don't do things normal here and you're not a normal person if you watch this kind of stuff because it's way too dense for the surface level sheeple
