We've Never Built a Roof Like This Before - GLASS HOUSE EP 3

What happens here

After the rafter framework is complete, begin sheathing the roof with plywood sheets. Carefully lift and place each plywood sheet onto the rafters. Use a nail gun to secure the plywood to the rafters, ensuring a tight and even surface. It's crucial to leave a small gap (using a nail as a spacer) between each sheet of plywood. This accounts for expansion and contraction due to temperature and humidity changes, preventing buckling. Work systematically across the roof, staggering seams for added structural integrity. This step finishes the main roof structure, preparing it for waterproofing and roofing materials.

Goal: Cover the rafter framework with plywood sheathing.
