WE CUT THROUGH THE ROOF?! 🫣😱 Installing SkyLifts for a PERGOLA!

What happens here

Once the main perimeter beams are installed and secured, attach black-stained joist hangers to the beams at the desired spacing (e.g., 18 inches on center). The video shows these hangers being screwed into the perimeter beams. Measure and cut the smaller 2x4 purlins to the correct length, ensuring they are also stained black. Lift and fit each purlin into its respective joist hanger. Secure the purlins within the hangers using appropriate nails or screws, creating the final open-lattice top structure of the pergola. This step is repeated for all purlins until the entire pergola top is covered.

Goal: Attach joist hangers to the perimeter beams and then install the pre-stained purlins, securing them to create the top lattice of the pergola.
