What happens here

Before any vegetation can be planted, the heavily compacted soil around the foundation needs to be broken up and loosened. This is achieved by attaching a power rake to the ASV RT-75 skid steer. The power rake is then used to aggressively scarify the ground, loosening the top layer of compacted earth. This process prepares a suitable bed for black dirt and grass seed, encouraging root penetration and healthy growth. The narrator explicitly states this is an intermediate step, essential for transforming the construction site into a vibrant, vegetated area that complements the new grading.

Goal: Loosen compacted soil to prepare it for planting vegetation.
