Twin Turbo 427 Escalade Going For 9 Second Pass On LOW BOOST! (LSXcalade Sick Week Days 4-5)

so i think we get around a nine without even turning the boot controller on there is nowhere to get e85 anywhere in the vicinity of anywhere near here anywhere two gallons of gas in here whenever we get to the track we'll dump it and put the good stuff in i made it to the first checkpoint something like iv memorial park so we gotta take a picture oh should i give it french fries what is that yeah we could do that what the heck it's cool man is gonna love that next checkpoint we made it so we're gonna take a picture day four parking lot we're about to go to south georgia florida sports park and i'm actually going to try to launch hard today this time i'm going to try to launch hard this time but i'm not going to turn the boost controller on we're just going to try to leave part because i realized in the last video uh when it started to spin i short shifted first and it just kind of bogged through second and just dug up through it and that's still around at ten one so i think we can run a nine without even turning the boot controller on that's what we're going to try to do today we made it to south georgia motorsports park and we got all unloaded got more ethanol put in there because we were just running it on themes keep switching it out and get the percentage up we have a special message for john reed from across the pond you've got the brains of a bloody rocky nose yes what part of england are you from south of birmingham area called the black country huh yeah i've never been there we got here kind of late so we had to wait for the all run come up which they just called so we're about to go try and get in line now notice i say try because who knows we'll be able to so many people everywhere we're in the lanes now we lower the tire pressure we're in the lanes now lower the tire pressure from 30 to 25 all the way around tighten the chains more tighten them until they were tight up there and then you get up here and they kind of you know it untwists a little bit and there was a little bit of slack so i tighten it down again this time i'm gonna drive into the second bulb put in neutral rev it get some more break on it and actually build a little bit of boost before we launch because i think it's going to stick this time and we'll see if we can run a 9 with this controller off i saw that guy had some condensation coming out of his exhaust so figured i'd try to blow that out too that was a really really good one i don't know what it was but that 60 foot was the best i have felt in a very long time keep in mind i did not turn the boost controller on that is still gate spring only what it was 980 with the boost controller off hell yes we will take that and take it twice on sunday and take it however many goofy sayings and puns i could come up with if i wasn't too shocked to be coming up with stupid things to say right now this is good we're good we're really onto something here god i can't believe it that's insane it's still 140 miles an hour one five four sixty foot i left with .4 pounds or something because i was kind of looking at the laptop and it takes a while for it to ramp up if i had the boost controller on it would light off you know half a second second and a half faster than that so that was damn good i think we'll put some power in it in bradenton and we'll set a new personal best i'm really thinking that's going to happen this is how much crud came out of the catch cans wow yeah i think forgot to empty those so what are we doing here we are doing a photo shoot for sick week at insect magazine with the famous don d'amato dom famous but not famous oh yeah i think you took pictures of that thing at drag week first time i ever did it if you follow 13 20 you'll have seen his face kind of like wears waldo in some of their videos i can't believe you haven't had this thing shot in the magazine yet too man it's never been in a magazine well they're all kind of gone now yeah that's why we are getting some ethanol for tomorrow's racing until there's a class where you have to have full interior overdrive and ac to be in that class this thing will never be able to compete in a class because it's just taking all the hard ways that nobody else will put in the effort to do so mitchell you care to explain what just happened oh we just ran out of gas but it's fine because we wanted to run out of gas so we could get the gas out and put ethanol in so that's what we're gonna do now all right let's fill this thing up this is the first time it's ever run out run out like completely out usually when i start to hear do the garble um that's time to fill up and it usually even gets filled up before that but when you're carrying stuff with you you just doesn't matter you just go until it doesn't anymore all right we got boost control on but we have no duty up top so we're just going to try to launch harder [Music] [Applause] [Music] all right best sticks whatever calling it well my phone's gone it flew away somewhere we'll find out how much boost it made up top and then i can confirm or deny that the same boost duty number uh will make the same amount of boosts as the old setup then i can 100 reference the old logs thank you 979 and 138. a one five oh sixty foot six twenty six in the eighth i think the best eighth time was six ten before that but that was with like a one seven sixty foot and just throwing you know a lot more power at it but damn i'm not bad about this at all this is good we're gonna make some power today check it out well we're kind of stuck here now hold in here just to go look for somebody and freaking kyle hold up we can't get out now so we're going to ambush him with the camera when he comes out yeah it was your poop kyle i was looking for the guy who parked his golf cart that we can't get out now oh wow shouldn't have brought a brick and parked in front of brick with no power steering oh no yeah it did well we ended up not running again but i forgot to film the explanation as to why at the track so we're back home now and i'll tell you why that is transmission fluid it's looking pretty bad don't know why i think i suspect the cooler lines came loose because they haven't been touched in two years like i put this transmission in in june of 2020 so it's had you know there's race week on it sick week on it all the driving between i daily drove this thing for like a week and a half or in that time period too where i drove 400 something miles like it's got a lot so if a vibrator loose whatever not too mad about it but also the uh o2 sensor and the driver's side downpipe looked like it backed out and for whatever reason the battery voltage was low i don't know if we toasted the alternator or something came loose something don't know but all those factors combined it wasn't worth trying to slam it back together to run again when we could potentially injure the transmission or something the transmission might be injured because it's bad low fluid i don't know we don't know so better safe than sorry we loaded it up very important don't want to forget we have the og escalade shirts live on staplesonautoworks.com again for the first events without having a single freaking breakdown that says a lot that says all needs to say about this thing i'm glad you guys are here we wish we could have provided you more entertainment more videos throughout the week by doing a video every day like we usually do but you know it's just the way it be sometimes so we look forward to getting back in the shop and building stuff and doing more
