What happens here

The steering column must be lowered or fully removed to allow the dashboard to clear. This involves disconnecting electrical connectors (e.g., for airbags, turn signals, wipers) and unbolting the column from its mounting points. Carefully disconnect all remaining electrical connectors from components integrated into the dashboard, such as the instrument cluster, radio, HVAC control panel, and any other switches or modules. Remove the instrument cluster from its housing.

Goal: Separate the dashboard from its electrical connections and allow clearance for removal.
