What happens here
With the dashboard removed, the HVAC unit (which houses the evaporator core for AC and heater core for heat) is now accessible, usually located against the firewall. Before proceeding, any remaining refrigerant in the AC system must be professionally recovered using specialized equipment. Then, disconnect the refrigerant lines from the evaporator core and the coolant lines from the heater core. Disconnect any electrical connectors leading to the blower motor or other HVAC sensors. Unbolt the entire HVAC box from the firewall and carefully remove it from the vehicle's cabin, as seen on the floor in the video.
Goal: Extract the HVAC assembly to access internal AC and heating components.
