Apply First Skim Coat to Walls

What happens here

After the initial high cut-ins, apply a very light skim coat of paint to the walls using a 9-inch nap roller on an extension pole. The goal for this first coat is not 100% coverage but a thin application that dries quickly. Move the roller from top to bottom on the wall to eliminate lap marks and ensure an even, thin layer. Maintain an ambient room temperature of around 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius) to accelerate the drying process. Once the first skim coat is applied, allow it to dry for approximately 30 minutes.
